As we expected, we are assisting more families in need this year than ever before. Some are saying that the economy is doing good but you would never know it from the way we are seeing things. We are assisting more folks both individually and other groups who also assist those in need than every before. Much of what we produce is donated to what we consider to be "Front Line Programs & Ministries". These are other programs that are actually supplying food boxes to folks in need. We have chosen to increase these donations for several reasons. The primary one is simply that what our community needs is a greater supply of food for distribution. Although we assist individuals and families, to some extent, another big food box program is almost the recreation of the wheel to some extent. Our time and efforts are better channeled in the production of food than in doing things that are already being done.
I want to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to come out and see our little operation. We are always happy to give those interested a tour and further explanation of how and why we exist.
