I was sitting in my office today and wondering just how many
families will eventually join the Harvest Cooperative and how many will start
new gardens this season. The truth is that we really have no way of knowing.
The more we get the word out, the more likely many will join.
The fact that both those who participate in the Community Garden and those who do private
gardening will certainly see many benefits to joining. Besides the fact that
they will save money on their food bill, participating in the Harvest
Cooperative will allow them to participate in training classes we will be
holding, the fellowship with other members, an opportunity to help others in
need and the plain good old feeling of being needed. If you want to Grow Your
Own Fresh, Healthy, & Delicious Produce In 2015 and like helping others.
The Harvest Cooperative may just be your ticket.
Much of what we will be doing in the area of gardening will take place as we draw closer to the growing season itself. There are however many things folks can get involved with right now. One of the best was of learning first hand about the Harvest Cooperative is to attend one of our monthly meeting. The next meeting is on February 10, 2015 at 7:00 PM and complete details can be obtained on the “Announcements” page. I encourage you to mark your calendar and we will see you there.
